Line Officers Elected
Date: 01.02.2019

Tonight we elected line officers at our monthly active brigade meeting.  David Watrous was re-elected to serve a two year term as Deputy Chief.  Christopher Feder was re-elected to serve a two year term as Assistant Chief.


Company Officers Elected
Date: 01.15.2019

Tonight the annual meeting of the fire company was held.  Afterwards, the normal monthly meeting of the board took place.  The following company officers for 2019 were elected:

President - Brad Remick

Vice President - Kevin Steele

Secretary - Leslie Greenfield

Treasurer - Robert Kaercher

The company thanks David Gray for his 32 years as company secretary and looks forward to having him remain on the board.

In Memoriam

The Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of retired firefighter Robert Klimas.  Bob served our company and the community for many years and we are grateful for his friendship and dedication.  Rest in peace Bob.


New Engineers

Congratulations to Christine Neely and Brian Conboy who were both appointed Engineers last night.  Chrissy and Brian have worked over the past year to train and operate Ladder 21.  Last night they were qualified to drive the truck in addition to our engine and rescue.  


New Ladder Truck

Tonight we took delivery of our new KME 103’ Aerialcat Tufftruck.  This ladder replaces our 1996 Pierce 105’ Aerial and has the latest technology to allow us to be more efficient and responsive on the fireground.

Four door enclosed cab with seating for 10 (9 SCBA seats). The truck is powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 470 HP and Allison Automatic Transmission. Waterous CMU 1500 GPM 2 Stage pump tested in February 2019.  300 gallon poly water tank.  Hose bed carries 1000’ of 5” hose.  Four pre-connected hand lines: Three 200’ 1 ¾” cross lays and a 150’ 1 ¾” front bumper line.  Pierce 105′ Rear Mount Steel Ladder was tested and certified in September 2018.  The ladder has a waterway with remote control nozzle and intercom system and is pinnable to the third and fourth fly sections. Kohler 10 Kw diesel generator with two cord reels.  Full ground ladder compliment and pike poles are located in the rear of the truck. Full warning light package, federal Q2B, electronic siren and dual air horns.  Vehicle is well maintained, clean and in good shape.  Passed UL aerial ladder test in Fall 2019.
